Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are the chic option if you want to go for braces, but don’t want them to show too much. They are tooth coloured, so they blend in well with the rest of the teeth and the smile.

What are ceramic braces?

Ceramic braces are similar to regular metal braces, but with one major difference; they are made of super hard, fortified, white/ tooth coloured ceramics and not metal. They are glued to the front of the teeth and stay on for the duration of the treatment. The modern ceramic braces do not become discoloured, and are therefore even suitable for patients who enjoy a lot of tea and coffee. They are also perfectly suited to patients who do not wish to have metal appliances in their mouths, for example patients who are allergic to certain metals. Modern ceramic braces are also more resistant to fracturing and wear, as compared to the older generation of ceramic braces.

How do I get my ceramic braces in Dubai?

Set up a consultation with one of the best dentists in Dubai at the Swedish Dental Clinic. At this first visit, you can explain what is bothering you about your teeth, your smile and your bite. The specialist orthodontist will do an examination and give you a general idea of the treatments which are possible. The next step is to have a 3D scan taken of the teeth, having a series of photos taken of the teeth and the face, and possibly have an x-ray taken.

A tailor made treatment plan will be done by the orthodontist, and once you agree, the ceramic braces will be bonded onto the teeth and the treatment will start. Follow up appointments will be done every 4-6 weeks where the orthodontist will adjust the braces and straighten the teeth, one step at a time. At the end of treatment, retainers will be made to keep the teeth in place and preserve your new smile!
