Invisalign Dubai questions? Ask the Swedish Dental Clinic, we have all the answers

Many children and adults have crooked teeth or improper bites, but do not want to have braces. This can be because they do not want to have visible braces and are conscious of not showing that they are under treatment. Invisalign is the perfect solution!

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a super thin, clear, removable appliance which is custom made for each patient and fits perfectly over the teeth to straighten and align them. It is made of an FDA approved plastic which is almost invisible when placed over the teeth.

Why is Invisalign important?

Invisalign has many advantages over other types of braces:

  • They are super thin and transparent aligners, which means you can hardly see them on the teeth; ideal if you don’t want the world to know that you are having any treatment done!
  • The Invisalign aligners are removable, which means you can eat and clean your teeth as normal, no special consideration needs to be made with regards the food you eat or the way you clean your teeth.
  • Invisalign treatments are very predictable as you can see a plan with the end result before you start the treatment.
  • An Invisalign treatment does not affect your day to day life
  • There are almost no emergency visits with Invisalign as there are no brackets and wires that can break, as on other types of braces.
  • Invisalign treatments are suitable for most patients and most types of treatments.
  • Often, no extractions are needed for an Invisalign treatment.

How do I get my Invisalign in Dubai:

On your initial consultation you will meet with the specialist orthodontist who will listen to your concerns about your smile or your teeth and will have a look to make sure you are a good candidate for an Invisalign treatment.

He will then take a 3shape 3D scan of your teeth, a series of photos, and possibly an x-ray. This is then sent to the Invisalign lab, together with a prescription. The technicians at Invisalign follow the doctors prescription to creat a Clincheck; a virtual treatment plan. This plan gives a step by step overview as to how the teeth will move and how the final result should look. Once the doctor and the patient are satisfied with the plan, the Invisalign aligners are ordered. A couple of weeks later, the Invisalign aligners arrive in Dubai at the clinic.

A number of aligners are delivered to the patient who wears each of them for a week or two at a time. The patient usually only has to visit the clinic every 4-6 weeks to see the orthodontist and check on the movement of the teeth. Once the final result has been achieved, retainers are made to keep the teeth in place and ensure that the new healthy smile will last as long as possible!
